Two Acuras, One Winner for Cardiac Care in Northwestern Ontario

The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation unveiled the Grand Prize for its Cruising For a Cure: Yours and Mine raffle this morning at Balmoral Park Acura, where one winner will drive away with two vehicles; a 2026 Acura ADX A-Spec and a 2026 Acura MDX Type S Ultra, together valued at $169,325.
It is the first Cruising For a Cure raffle to put two vehicles behind a single grand prize. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 25 at 11:30 a.m. at www.cruisingforacure.ca, Balmoral Park Acura on 868 Copper Crescent and at the Thunder Bay 50/50 store at 1000 Fort William Road. Tickets are 1 for $25, 3 for $50 and 8 for $100, with a maximum of 36,275 available.
Five Early Bird draws totalling $15,000 run between October and February, starting with a $5,000 draw on Friday, October 16. Tickets bought before an Early Bird deadline stay eligible for every draw that follows, including the grand prize draw on Friday, February 19, 2027.
Proceeds support the Northern Cardiac Fund and the Our Hearts at Home Cardiovascular Surgery Campaign, which funds cardiac care and cardiovascular surgery at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre so patients across Northwestern Ontario can be treated closer to home.
“Cruising For a Cure has always paired one extraordinary prize with one very practical purpose,” said Glenn Craig, President & CEO of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation. “This year there are two vehicles and one winner, and every ticket goes toward cardiac care that people in this region would otherwise have to leave home to receive.”
“This Hospital means a great deal to us, and it meant the world to my father who was a passionate supporter,” said Jeff Witiluk, General Manager of Thunder Bay Mitsubishi. “We are making this gift to honour his legacy, and to ensure that the Hospital can continue providing exceptional life-saving care to families in our community.
The previous Cruising For a Cure raffle raised more than $400,000 for Breast Cancer Care in Northwestern Ontario.
