BHAVYA FALDU FROM THUNDER BAY WINS $2,772,840 IN JULY'S 50/50!

(Thunder Bay, ON) – The Thunder Bay 50/50 has awarded the largest July Grand Prize in its history, with Bhavya Faldu of Thunder Bay taking home an incredible $2,772,840. The prize is also the largest Thunder Bay 50/50 jackpot ever awarded outside of the top three December holiday draws.
"There's no better way to kick off a long weekend than by making a life-changing phone call," said Health Sciences Foundation President & CEO Glenn Craig. "Bhavya was in complete shock and didn't know what to say when she learned she'd won. It's a similar reaction from most of the winners I have the privilege of calling on the last Friday of the month."
Faldu received Craig's call just as she was heading out for her break. She told Craig she recently purchased a home and plans to use part of her winnings to help her sister buy one as well.
Ticket sales are now underway for the August Thunder Bay 50/50 Draw. This month, ticket buyers can also choose to make an optional $2 donation to support the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Northwest Animal Centre. One hundred per cent of every donation will help provide care for animals in need across Northwestern Ontario.
To date, over $106 million in prizes have been awarded to players across Ontario, while proceeds from every ticket sold support essential equipment at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
