How The Thunder Bay 50/50 Cash Wheel works
This November there are 30 Early Bird draws instead of a set prize each day. Every draw is worth one prize from the Prize Bank, and nobody knows which one until it's drawn.

The Prize Bank is set
Before ticket sales opened, we set a bank of 30 prizes worth $163,000, from $1,000 all the way up to $50,000.

The Thunder Bay 50/50 Cash Wheel spins
The raffle system supplied by BUMP randomly matched one prize to each of the 30 draws. Each prize can only be won once.

The prize is revealed
On each Early Bird date, winning numbers are picked at random from all eligible tickets. Then we reveal what each draw was worth on the homepage calendar.
On Thursday, November 5 there are 3 chances to win.

Never miss a draw. Your tickets renew automatically and arrive between 2:00 and 5:00pm on the first day of every monthly draw. For November, that's Friday, October 30, so subscribers are in all 30 Early Birds.

Travelling? No problem. Once you're subscribed, your tickets renew each month whether or not you're in Ontario. Great for snowbirds.

Only subscribers get Rewards+. The $1,000 bonus is for active subscribers only.

Can I choose which prize I play for?
No. Nobody picks a prize. Before ticket sales opened, the 30 prizes in the Prize Bank were randomly assigned to the 30 Early Bird draws by the electronic raffle system supplied by BUMP.
When will I find out what a draw was worth?
Each prize value stays secret until that Early Bird draw takes place. Right after each draw, we post the prize that was won on the Early Bird calendar on the ThunderBay5050.ca homepage, so you can see what's been won and what's still left in the Prize Bank.
How is the winning number picked?
The same way as every Thunder Bay 50/50 draw. A Random Number Generation (RNG) system selects the winning number from all eligible numbers sold.
Do I need to buy tickets for each Early Bird day?
No. Buy once, and your tickets are entered in every Early Bird draw still to come this month, plus the Grand Prize Draw on Friday, November 27. Just buy before 11:59pm ET the night before a draw date to be in that day's draws.
Do my November tickets carry over to December?
No. Each monthly draw has its own tickets. November tickets are eligible for November's Early Birds and the November 27 Grand Prize Draw.
How big is the Grand Prize?
The Grand Prize is half of all ticket sales for the November draw, with a guaranteed minimum of $5,000. Watch the current total climb on the homepage.
How will I know if I've won?
