January's Thunder Bay 50/50 Winner Walks Away with $1.8 Million Grand Prize

The last Friday of January wasn't just the end of the month, it was the beginning of a life-changing moment for Lucie Clifford of Timmins that left her speechless. Lucie received the life-changing call from Hospital Foundation CEO Glenn Craig letting her know she had just won an incredible $1,868,445 in the January 50/50.
“Oh my gosh, I don't even know what to say. I'm speechless, and that doesn't happen very often!” Lucie exclaimed. She had just finished teaching for the day and was about to pick up her grandson when she received the life-changing call.
“I've been buying tickets since the very beginning to help out in any way I can,” Lucie shared. “Now, this is really helping me out,” she added.
Lucie, who retired from teaching 8 years ago has continued to supply teach to fill the need in the education system. “Children have always been my priority,” she said.
