Chad Samuelson of Thunder Bay was awarded the October Thunder Bay 50/50 Grand Prize of $3,083,790 this morning. It is the largest Grand Prize in Thunder Bay 50/50 history outside of the annual December draw.
During the “now-famous” 11:00 Grand Prize winner call, Chad said he couldn't believe he had won. He's been a supporter since the very first draw, he isn't the first winner in his family.
“I've been buying tickets since the very beginning, my aunt actually won a $5,000 Early Bird prize before,” said Chad. “I just can't believe it, my wife is going to get her dream home.”

There are 30 chances to win and 30 prizes in the prize bank, totalling $163,000: one $50,000 prize, one $25,000 prize, four $10,000 prizes, six $5,000 prizes and 18 $1,000 prizes. The first Early Bird draw is Thursday, November 5, and the November Grand Prize will be drawn on Friday, November 27 at 11:00 a.m. Subscribers are automatically added to Rewards+, so any Early Bird win comes with an additional $1,000 Rewards+ benefit. Subscribers have received an additional $167,000 in Rewards+ benefits so far.
To date, over $116 million in prizes have been awarded to players across Ontario, while proceeds from every ticket sold support essential equipment at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
